Campesino Man y Lucha Dora

Campesino Man y Lucha Dora are champions of social justice. Their "superpowers" emerge from their courage to identify and resist oppressive institutions of power that deligitimize the lives of those living in the borderlands of marginalized identities.

Campesino Man represents the strength of laborers and immigrants to resist racism and classism. His jet pack allows him strategic lateral and vertical mobility among various lived experiences of marganalized groups. In this movement, Campesino Man becomes a catalyst for everyday people's self-realization and power to enact social change.

Lucha Dora is the Chicana roller derby guerrillera who resists colonialism and patriarchy through embodying a "third space" identity as a feminine militant agent for social change. As a Chicana feminist, her roller skates allow her the strategic mobility to navigate "between and among" various seemingly contradictory identities in order to "infiltrate to liberate."
